Housing Education and Advocacy

Housing Education and Advocacy

A home is not just a place to live; it’s a vital foundation for stable and thriving lives. We recognize the essential role that housing plays in fostering integration and well-being. That’s why our housing initiatives here in Rice County focus on assisting BIPOC and low-income communities as they navigate the intricate world of housing options.

Housing Education and Advocacy is key to our work. Our Housing Education and Advocacy (HEA) program helps residents understand their rights and navigate the housing market. We offer workshops and one-on-one counseling on topics like repairs, security deposits, and evictions. This knowledge boosts confidence and fosters a supportive community among residents. Housing education and advocacy are vital for ensuring that everyone has access to affordable housing and the resources they need to succeed
